An inspection took place at GlaxoSmithKline, LLC in Zebulon by the Food and Drug Administration on Feb. 20 to review drug quality assurance, data from the FDA website show.

The resulting report noted that GlaxoSmithKline, LLC did not need to modify any of the organization’s management operations.

The FDA routinely inspects sites across the country to ensure both workplaces and products comply with FDA-regulated laws and standards designed to protect public health. These inspection findings are made public after completion.

The FDA website notes that the agency is chiefly responsible for overseeing the safety and quality of human and animal drugs, biological products, medical devices and tobacco goods.
