The North Carolina Courage have continued their community impact through a partnership with Bartol Hoile Wealth Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisors. For each goal scored at WakeMed Soccer Park, the group donates $200 to LEAD Girls of North Carolina.

“This partnership allows us to dream,” said Joy Nelson Thomas, Founder and Executive Director of LEAD Girls of NC. “Bartol Hoile have been partners of ours for the past three years and it allows us to continue to do the work that we do in Title One schools as well as our Community LEAD program.”

This season, the Courage scored 22 goals at home, prompting Bartol Hoile Wealth Management to round up their donation to $5,000. The organization supports middle school girls by providing resources that align with their potential.

Alex Bartol emphasized the importance of this collaboration: “This partnership with NC Courage and LEAD Girls is very important to Alex and me because we really believe in paying it forward.”

LEAD Girls aims to equip preteen girls with tools to become leaders in their communities. “We believe everybody has a talent and a skillset,” stated Hoile. The organization was presented with a check during the last home game, offering an inspiring experience for many girls involved.

“You can’t be what you can’t see,” said Nelson Thomas about the event’s significance. More information about LEAD Girls’ programs and how to support them is available on their website.
