TOWN OF HOLLY SPRINGS: Apply to Serve on Housing Affordability Study Advisory Committee

Town of Holly Springs issued the following announcement on Oct. 28. 

Interested in housing affordability in Holly Springs? Consider applying to serve on an advisory committee to assist as the Town of Holly Springs analyzes community housing needs and considers how to achieve potential housing affordability goals.

As the Town of Holly Springs conducts a Housing Affordability Study, the committee will:

  • Provide input on goals and priorities for the study 
  • Provide feedback on findings from the study’s market analysis and needs and gap analysis 
  • Help establish guiding principles for recommendations and prioritize a preliminary list of housing tools 
  • Provide feedback on the feasibility and potential implementation of recommendations 
In addition to local residents, representatives are being sought from 

  • Civic/Non-Profit/Religious Organizations 
  • Real Estate / Development 
  • Social Services Providers
  • Financial Institutions / Banking 
  • Home Builders Association/Residential Developers or Builders 
  • Affordable Housing Developers or Builders 
  • General Interest / Advocacy Groups 
The committee will meet about four times between November 2021 and August 2022. Advisory committee members also will be invited to attend community workshops that will occur throughout the project and to serve as ambassadors for the project, providing information and encouraging others to participate.
