Town of Holly Springs issued the following announcement on Jan. 29.
The Town is launching a mobile, interactive Black History Tour to give users a glimpse into the rich history of Holly Springs.
Starting in February, which is Black History Month, use your phone to navigate as you walk downtown and see historical photos and hear recollections from residents. Imagine the lives of those who have helped shape the course of events in Holly Springs. For the interactive map navigation features on a phone, please use the Google app or any web browser other than Safari.
Rather than walk it, you also can also scroll through the tour on your computer or drive by some of the historic sites.
The Town will continue to add content over time. Residents are invited to send suggestions to communications@hollyspringsnc.gov.
