Town of Knightdale issued the following announcement on Feb. 22.
Knightdale residents, the Knightdale Public Works Department will be closing a section of Sugar Lane in the Maplewood Subdivision. In the coming months, crews will be working to replace a stream crossing pipe in this location. Due to material and labor shortages, we expect this replacement to take 30-45 days.
Traffic will be routed around this small section of Sugar Lane using alternate routes. Per North Carolina General Statute 14-159.12, we ask that all traffic, both vehicular and pedestrian, keep out of the marked construction zone for the duration of the replacement.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we thank you in advance for adhering to these guidelines.
