Town of Knightdale issued the following announcement on Mar. 18.
If you live near a creek, be sure to come out to Knightdale Station Park to get your FREE riparian tree this Saturday, March 19! These trees are specifically for planting near creek banks to help prevent erosion, slow surface stormwater flow, intercept pollutants, provide habitat for many types of wildlife, and so many more benefits.
These FREE riparian trees are available on a first-come, first-served basis until they're gone. Stop by Knightdale Station Park this Saturday between 1pm and 4pm and grab your tree in the parking lot near the shredding event! This giveaway is a part of the NC Clean Water Education Partnership Creek Week.
