TOWN OF APEX POLICE DEPARTMENT: Wake County has opened temporary Cooling Stations for the public

Town of Apex Police Department issued the following announcement on June 15.

Wake County is expected to have heat index values above 100 degrees through Friday. Based on the information from the National Weather Service forecast, Wake County has opened temporary Cooling Stations for the public to seek respite from the heat.                                                                                         

Cooling Stations will be open to the public from 10:00 am until the closing hour of each site through Friday, June 17th. Cooling site locations include the following:

• Wake County Human Services, 220 Swinburne St., Raleigh

• Eastern Regional Center, 1002 Dogwood Drive, Zebulon

• Northern Regional Center, 350 E. Holding Ave., Wake Forest

• South Regional Center, 130 N Judd Pkwy NE, Fuquay-Varina

• Wake County Public Libraries
