Town of Apex issued the following announcement on July 18.
Are you looking for a place to take used oil, paint, and other household hazardous items?
You can safely dispose of those items at the South Wake Household Hazardous Waste Facility, located at 6150 Old Smithfield Road, open Monday - Saturday, 8 am - 4 pm. Accepted items include:
Oil-based paint, latex paint, mineral spirits, and paint thinners
Household batteries, lead acid batteries, and rechargeable batteries
Helium tanks, aerosols, and corrosive cleaners and much more!
Note: As of July 1, 2022, used oil and paint pans are no longer accepted at the Apex Public Works facility.
