TOWN OF HOLLY SPRINGS: Shade Cabana Benches Help Tennis Players Beat the Heat

Town of Holly Springs issued the following announcement on Aug. 4.

Beat the heat after your tennis match! We’re excited to welcome five brand new shade cabana benches to Ting Park!

Officially installed in July 2021, park-goers will be able to utilize these benches for shade, storage and shelter from rain while visiting the Tennis Complex.

In partnership with the Town of Holly Springs, funding for the shade structures was provided through grants, totaling to $10,000, from Western Wake Tennis Association, USTA, and USTA-NC.

Ting Park, located at 101 Sportsmanship Way, is Holly Springs’ premiere athletic complex housing numerous athletic and community events each year.

The park features a Tennis Complex with eight regulation tennis courts and four youth-sized tennis/pickleball courts which are open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

While open courts are available first-come, first-served at no charge, players must yield to those with reservations and free play is limited to one hour while others are waiting.
