Town of Holly Springs issued the following announcement on Aug. 15.
Busy sidewalks and storefronts, a variety of dining options, public art, and more – downtown Holly Springs is emerging as one of the Town’s most popular destinations! The Town is getting ready to update the long-range plan that guides the downtown area’s growth and development.
“What you enjoy now in downtown Holly Springs reflects the direction of the original plan for the area, which was created decades ago,” said Sean Ryan, planning manager with the Town. “Now the Town is turning its focus to the next 20 years to take this area into its next phase.”
Community feedback will be vital as the plan is updated. While information on community meetings and surveys will be unveiled soon, applications are open now for people interested in serving on the advisory committee.
“We’re looking for people to serve as community ambassadors for the plan, to provide input on goals, strategies, and actions – basically helping identify how to achieve the community’s vision for downtown Holly Springs,” Ryan said.
Click here to apply through Friday, Sept. 9.
“This update is looking to build on the success of the original plan,” Ryan said. “We want to continue to enhance the atmosphere, the ambiance, the feeling you get when you’re in a place that really connects with you. We want people have a place to go and celebrate Holly Springs.”
