TOWN OF HOLLY SPRINGS: "Leading the Way" Award Presented to Town Council

Town of Holly Springs issued the following announcement on Aug. 16.

The Town of Holly Springs ranks in the top 10% of all local governments in the United States for performance to its residents. The “Leading the Way” Award was presented to the Holly Springs Town Council by ETC Institute, an independent market research firm that surveys citizens throughout the country. The award recognizes this achievement for outstanding delivery of services in three core areas: 

  • Satisfaction with the overall quality of services 
  • Satisfaction with customer service provided by employees, and 
  • Satisfaction with the value residents think they receive for local taxes and fees.
“Congratulations to the Mayor, Town Council, Town Manager and all Town staff for their outstanding achievements,” said Jason Morado, vice president and director of community research, ETC Institute. “This is an award that everyone should be proud of.” 

Holly Springs also ranked in the top 10% in the United States in 13 other categories, including: 

  • Overall quality of life in the Town 
  • Overall feeling of safety in neighborhoods and parks 
  • Condition of major streets and sidewalks 
  • Efforts to keep residents informed about local issues 
  • Leadership provided by elected officials 
  • The level of public involvement in local decision making 
  • Efforts to promote diversity in the community 
  • Enforcement of codes and traffic laws
The 2021 Town of Holly Springs community survey was conducted by ETC Institute, an independent national company specializing in municipal satisfaction surveys and was performed using scientific, statistically valid methodology. In the survey, 98 percent of residents said Holly Springs is a great place to live. Top community priorities that were identified by the survey included: 

  • Management of traffic 
  • Management of growth/development 
  • Walking and biking trails
