Town of Mooresville issued the following announcement on Aug. 29.
W. Lowrance Avenue will be closed to traffic between W. Wilson Avenue and Golf Course Drive beginning on 8/29/2022 and lasting approximately 1 month (estimated 9/30/2022).
The purpose of this closure is to allow the contractor to relocate a waterline and install an aluminum arch culvert across West Lowrance.
W. Wilson Avenue will be open to traffic during this closure. Access to residences on W. Lowrance Avenue near the closure and to the Mooresville Golf Course will be made a detour using either Academy Street or S. Broad Street onto W. Lowrance Avenue.
West Wilson will be reopened to all traffic during the closure of West Lowrance. Please note that the condition of West Wilson is not yet perfect or complete. The current pavement is intermediate course and the striping is temporary. The final lift of asphalt (surface course, which is smoother) will be applied at the end of the project and permanent striping will be installed at that time.
