TOWN OF HOLLY SPRINGS: What Is Your Vision for the Future of Downtown Holly Springs?

Town of Holly Springs issued the following announcement on Nov. 7.

Your input is needed! Share your thoughts as the Town kicks off its update to the long-range plan that guides future growth and development of downtown Holly Springs!

Recent growth in the downtown area reflects the goals of the original plan, developed about two decades ago. Now that Holly Springs’ downtown is beginning to emerge and interest in it is buzzing, the Town is turning its focus to the next 20 years to take the area into its next phase.

“Many of the recommendations from the original plan have become a reality,” said Sean Ryan, planning manager with the Town. “Now, we can turn our focus to figuring out how to create an even more dynamic, exciting environment that people recognize immediately as Holly Springs.”

Your feedback and ideas can help shape the future of Main Street! Drop in anytime between 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Town Hall.

Drop-In Community Meeting

Thursday, Nov. 17, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Holly Springs Town Hall | 128 S Main Street

This first community workshop will seek input about sense of place, culture, what makes Holly Springs unique, critical successes sought, and measurable goals desired. The plan covers Main Street from Third Street, where the post office is located, south past the hospital to N.C. 55. From east to west, the area is roughly sandwiched between Avent Ferry Road and Raleigh Street. While this area currently may be referred to as the “Downtown Village District,” that name may be updated based on feedback from the community.
