Town of Apex issued the following announcement on Nov. 29.
The Apex Christmas Parade, organized by the Apex Rotary Club, is this Saturday at 5:00 pm! Salem Street will be closed from 3 pm - 9 pm for the parade. Other downtown streets will also be closed for parade staging. On-street parking through downtown closes at 2 pm on Saturday.
Important info about chairs for parade viewing:
Please DO wait until 8 pm on Friday to place your chairs along the sidewalk. If your chair is placed on the sidewalk prior to this time, it can be removed by Town staff and placed behind the Halle Cultural Arts Center for pickup.
Please DO NOT tie your chairs together, or to other objects along the sidewalk (light poles, trash cans, etc.) This makes it tough for people parking along Salem Street to exit their vehicles. Make sure not to block access to our downtown buildings, sidewalks. or intersections.
