Town of Wendell issued the following announcement on Dec. 28.
The Town of Wendell Public Works Department will collect natural Christmas Trees on Friday, January 13th, and Tuesday, January 17th, 2023.
For pickup, all trees must be at or behind the curb by 7 a.m. the day of pickup. Public Works will run the route twice on both pickup days.
Here are a few reminders to make the collection go smoothly and ensure your tree is collected:
• Please keep all trees out of the roadway to maintain safety.
• Please make sure that all trees are kept at a minimum of 3 feet away from mailboxes, utilities, and parked vehicles.
• Only natural trees may be picked up, as they are recycled.
• Any artificial trees will need to be disposed of as trash. The Convenience Center in Wendell is located at 5051 Wendell Blvd., and is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., daily.
• Make sure all decorations are removed from trees before placing them at or behind the curb.
