Town of Wendell issued the following announcement on Jan. 10.
In observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Town of Wendell offices will be closed on Monday, January 16th, 2023.
GFL routes will continue as usual on Monday with trash, recycling, and yard waste pickup.
On #MLKDay, we remember the lessons of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and dedicate ourselves to the principle of justice and equality for all.
Dr. King advanced the cause of attaining social change for all people and admonished us that it is far better to love than hate, to seek justice rather than revenge, and to refrain from acts of violence and not condone those who engage in it or profess hatred for any people, group, or race.
