Town of Holly Springs issued the following announcement on Jan. 20.
Holly Springs is building a state-of-the-art operations campus to meet the service needs of a growing community. Town staff has exceeded available space and the new campus will eventually house hundreds of employees and equipment from multiple departments.
“This operations campus will give us a centralized location to maintain the Town’s infrastructure,” said Holly Springs Assistant Town Manager Scott Chase. “It will be the hub for water and sewer needs, roads and facilities maintenance crews, heavy equipment, and so much more.”
The 30-acre campus will be built out in stages on property adjacent to the Utley Creek Water Reclamation Facility in the Holly Springs Business Park. The first phase is planned to include a two-story administration building, an approximately 28,000-square-foot operations building with office and warehouse space, plus a customer convenience center for yard waste drop off.
Work to build an access road and construction staging area is expected this Spring. Building construction is set to begin in early 2024 with work projected to wrap up in Summer 2025.
Future phases of the project could include a new fleet maintenance building, fueling center, vehicle wash area, and additional storage and staging areas.
“The new operations campus is meant to meet our Town’s growing infrastructure needs for the next 30 years,” said Chase.“
