Congratulations are in order for Rep. Ted Davis, Jr. (R-New Hanover), who has been named the Legislator of The Week by the North Carolina Home Builders Association.
The Republican legislator posted the accolade to his Facebook page on June 13.
The association said "Representative Davis has been a consistent supporter of our industry during his tenure in the General Assembly. Representative Davis maintains an excellent working relationship with his local Wilmington-Cape Fear HBA and NCHBA’s legislative team," Davis posted.
The association, in awarding Davis the weekly honor, cited legislation he proposed that deals with land-use laws.
Davis is the Senior Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee and this week successfully presented SB 720 both in committee and on the House floor," the association said, Davis posted to his Facebook page. “We appreciate the support Representative Davis has given to our industry in the past and we look forward to working with him in the future."
