Town of Morrisville issued the following announcement on Dec. 14.
The Town of Morrisville is now accepting applications for the newly formed Morrisville Smart City Steering Committee (MSCSC). This committee will advise the Town Council and work with the guidance, direction, and support of the Town’s Information Technology (IT) Department to develop the smart city initiatives and support technology innovation that benefits Morrisville.
Morrisville has recently developed Smart Morrisville, the Town’s smart city plan, which will guide the direction of the Morrisville smart city program and identifies the initiatives the committee will be working to implement. To read the Smart Morrisville Strategic Plan, click here.
Membership applications for the committee are being accepted from Monday, Dec. 14, 2020, through Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021.
The MSCSC will be comprised of at least 11 people – seven technical members, and four non-technical members – to provide the widest range of representation. To read the charter resolution establishing the MSCSC, click here.
