North Carolina Courage captain Denise O’Sullivan and the Republic of Ireland are focused on qualifying for their first UEFA Women's EURO tournament. They will face Wales in a two-leg playoff, with the aggregate winner securing a spot in the 2025 tournament in Switzerland. Ireland advanced to this stage by defeating Georgia 9-0 on aggregate, while Wales overcame Slovakia after extra time.
The matches are scheduled as follows: the first leg will be played in Cardiff on Friday, November 29 at 2:15 p.m. ET, and the second leg will take place at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on Tuesday, December 3 at 2:30 p.m. ET.
In addition to O'Sullivan's efforts with Ireland, other North Carolina Courage players are participating in international friendlies during this window.
Brazilian player Aline Gomes has been selected for Brazil's squad for friendlies against Australia. Gomes has made an impressive start to her career with Courage during the NWSL regular season and earned her first senior cap for Brazil in 2023. Kerolin Nicoli was initially named to join but had to withdraw due to injury.
Brazil is set to play Australia on Thursday, November 28 at 5 a.m. ET and again on Sunday, December 1 at 3:35 a.m. ET.
German player Feli Rauch will compete with Germany against Switzerland and Italy in friendly matches. Rauch contributed to Germany's bronze-medal finish at the Paris Olympics earlier this year and played significant roles in recent friendlies against England and Australia.
Germany's schedule includes a match against Switzerland on Friday, November 29 at 2 p.m. ET followed by a game against Italy on Monday, December 2 at 2:30 p.m. ET.
