Town of Holly Springs issued the following announcement on Jan. 20.
In advance of warmer weather, the Town’s most popular, heaviest-used playground is getting an upgrade!
At Womble Park, a new playground with multiple slides, a climbing wall, a balance beam, and more features targeted for ages 5-12 is replacing a decades-old unit.
Also, an ADA-compliant, rubberized surface will replace the playground’s synthetic turf and mulch areas.
To allow for safe and efficient construction, the park playground will close on Monday, Jan. 23, for about two months.
Meanwhile, if you have children who would like to get out and play, please enjoy the Town’s additional playgrounds at Jones, Ting, and Veterans parks.
